A couple of the team members are very new to bridge at this level so it was great to give them an intro to bridge at this level - bidding boxes and screens. They are also using bridgemates so all results are entered and scored automatically - a paperless competition. Nader Hanna, captain of the U-26 team and I spent the first day at the Summer Palace, while the rest of the team went to Silk Market and did some shopping. Pictures to follow once I figure out how to download them from my camera to the laptop.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The opening ceremonies were wonderful, and included over 140 countries and 3000 competitors. There was a one hour show of interpretive dance with lovely classical music and cirque-de-soleil type costumes, set and amazing lighting.
